Hello family and friends--Sunday, December 7th--10am-3pm is the 1st annual Artisans Marketplace at the Environmental Nature Center in Newport Beach (Next to Newport Harbor High School).  Over 70 local artisans will be on displaying selling their homemade art and food.  Hopefully you can attend and support the nature center (and me :)  Spread the wood.  Thanks

Saying thanks

the Literary Gourmand wanted to thank Barbara Demarco Barrett for hosting her annual boutique/artisan sale and including me as one of the lucky artisans.  It was a great night and I know there will be many happy people eating jams and bbq sauce in the near future.  Thanks to all the buyers who took a leap of faith to try my products.  I had to explain a few times the bbq body wash wasnt for human bodies, but for the meat--but other than that I'm looking forward to next year and if anyone is interested in some box sets or individual jars please contact me.  Here are some photos from the evening.

Super Bowl Party Faves

I hope everyone had a delicious as well as entertaining Super Bowl Sunday (trademark by the NFL)--here are some photos of my bacon wrapped stuffed chicken breasts.  The bacon was rubbed in a brown sugar and cumin spice rub and then glazed with a blueberry cabernet sauce and the chicken was stuffed with serrano pepper slices and a crab cheese spread.  I also made stuffed jalapenos with ground chicken, feta, red onion, mint and sea salt.  If you made something delectable tell me about it.  Always looking for great ideas.
